This course is part of the RCOG Core Knowledge series.
One in seven couples suffer from subfertility in Europe. Tubal factor accounts for approximately 20% of the subfertility (NICE 2013). Other causes are ovulatory dysfunction, unexplained infertility, male factor and uterine factor.
The causative factors of tubal subfertility are preventable and the proactive management and prevention of the causative factors will substantially reduce the morbidity from infection and the resulting subfertility.
This course will help you to investigate, diagnose and manage women with tubal and uterine factor subfertility and includes measures that you can undertake in clinical practice to minimise the morbidity of subfertility.
When you have completed this course, you will be able to:
- aetiology of uterine and tubal factor subfertility
- different investigation modalities available
- management options available
- importance of prevention.
