This course is part of the RCOG Core Knowledge series.

Pregnancy is a complex physiological process, and when coupled with pre-existing renal disease, it presents unique challenges to both mother and the foetus. Managing renal disease in pregnancy requires a specialised multidisciplinary approach to ensure optimal outcomes for both mother and baby. This e-learning course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with comprehensive knowledge and skills to effectively manage women with renal disease during pregnancy.

When you have completed this course, you will be able to:

  • describe abnormal renal structure and function during pregnancy
  • describe the principles and practice of care for pregnant women with chronic renal disease
  • evaluate and form a plan of management for pregnant women with acute and chronic renal disease.
