Welcome to this Special Interest Training course on Pre-existing diabetes without complications.

When you have completed this course, you will be able to:

• counsel women with pre-existing diabetes preconceptually
• educate women on the potential complications of diabetes in pregnancy
• empower women with pre-existing diabetes, involving them in shared decision making
• understand the role of different therapies in improving glycaemic control
• manage woman with pre-existing diabetes throughout their pregnancy and postnatally
• advise women with pre-existing diabetes about contraception.
