This video resource, developed and funded by Alexion Pharma UK Ltd, is presented by Dr Tina Dutt, consultant haematologist, at the Macdonald Obstetrics Medicine Society (MOMS) congress held on December 2024, who explains how to recognise TMA in pregnancy and the role of specialist centres.

  • describe mechanisms underlying:
    • thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP)
    • atypical haemolytic uraemic syndrome (aHUS)
  • understand the role of specialist centres for TMA:

    • national aHUS service.
