Welcome to this Core Knowledge course on Early pregnancy loss - management.

This course is based on real-life scenarios that you will commonly come across in the accident and emergency unit, pregnancy unit and the gynaecology ward. These cases could include threatened, missed and incomplete miscarriages.

 

When you have completed this course, you will be able to:

  • be more familiar with the appropriate terminology used in this area
  • understand the different types of miscarriage
  • be more familiar with the common presentation of miscarriage
  • be able to recognise stable and unstable patients
  • be able to initiate management of early pregnancy loss
  • be aware of the pros and cons of the different management options
  • be more familiar with the types of questions that women will have who have experienced early pregnancy loss.
