Welcome to the StratOG Non-Technical Skills overview of the NIHR GCP e-learning resource.
The NIHR have produced a Good Clinical Practice (GCP) e-learning resource which is designed to provide an introduction to GCP, the EU Directives, UK Regulations and Research Governance Framework requirements covering clinical trials and other NIHR Portfolio studies conducted within the NHS.
Primary care and secondary care pathways are included as well as options to explore the consent process requirements in a paediatric setting and with adults lacking capacity.
The e-learning course has a practical focus, with the key aim that participants know what to do to practise excellent GCP when they return to their workplace to ensure the rights, safety and wellbeing of patients and the quality of the research data.
It takes approximately 4 hours to complete and free access is given to the resource if you fulfill the eligibility criteria.
In order to access the e-learning resource you will need to register for an account on the NIHR CRN Online Learning platform and request an enrolment key. If the request for the enrolment key is made using a nhs/ac.uk email address the key will be sent via an automated response.
