The reality is that in most countries and contexts, abortion is (to a greater or lesser degree) a stigmatised topic. It is likely that at some point in your abortion advocacy journey you will experience criticism, be challenged or even face threats for the work that you are doing. This is not pleasant, but by acknowledging that there are risks and that you might be challenged by negative attitudes and behaviour, you can prepare and be stronger in the face of opposition.
