|Maternal||To shorten and reduce the effects of second-stage labour on medical conditions (e.g. cardiac disease Class III or IV, hypertensive crises, myasthenia gravis, spinal cord injury patients at risk of autonomic dysreflexia, proliferative retinopathy)|
