- Pregnant women and those planning pregnancies should be advised to avoid travelling to Zika-affected countries and if they cannot postpone travel, to take precautionary mosquito bite avoidance measures.
- Pregnant women, who have recently travelled to countries where Zika outbreaks are currently reported, should inform their obstetrician, midwife or GP on return to the UK.
