The RCOG has launched a new curriculum in 2019 – covering all core and advanced elements – to equip the O&G profession with the skills, knowledge and attributes needed for the future. The O&G curriculum has not fundamentally changed since its introduction in 2007, although minor changes have been made over the years.
While the detail of the clinical content remains unchanged, it will be presented in a different way with a much stronger focus on non-technical skills, patient safety and the patient experience.
The purpose of this eTutorial is to guide O&G doctors through the transition to the new curriculum. It looks at why a change was needed, what will be changing and the resources that will be available to enable doctors to successfully transfer to the new curriculum.
It should take approximately 90 – 120 minutes to complete the resource – the eLearning package has been designed so that you can dip in and out of each section depending on your time constraints.
Please note that you will need to be logged in to the RCOG eLearning website to complete the assessments and reflective tasks and download your completion certificate.
