CPD

The College is currently running two CPD Programmes, the 2010 Programme and the new 2019 Programme. You will find information below on how to claim CPD credits for RCOG eLearning resources, with guidance for those still registered on the 2010 RCOG CPD Programme and for those following the new 2019 CPD Programme.

RCOG eLearning offers a wealth of eLearning resources to support you through your CPD. These are accessible via our membership scheme but there are also free resources that will give you a taster of what we offer.

See below for our most frequently used CPD content, and please note that you are also eligible to claim CPD points from other learning resources on RCOG eLearning.

2010 CPD Programme

  • 2 credits for a full day of learning, as a Formal Learning Event
  • Additionally, 1 CPD credit is claimable for reflecting on the learning and 1 or 2 CPD credits for an action following the learning depending if the action is simple or complex

To claim credits for an action, the individual needs to demonstrate how they have applied their learning to their practice, the service they provide and/or the potential impact of the learning.

The Core knowledge eTutorials were originally developed for trainees studying for the MRCOG Part 2 examination. However, much of the content  goes beyond this level and is ideal refresher material for consultant-level CPD.
